One of the most heartfelt events is the Feast of the Madonna di Portosalvo, celebrated on August 27th with a suggestive procession by sea: the statue of the Madonna is accompanied by festively decorated boats, followed by a land procession with music, fireworks, and an atmosphere of authentic popular devotion.

Ascea is the ideal starting point to explore all of the Cilento: within a short time, you can reach historic villages like Pisciotta and Castellabate, the marine caves of Palinuro, the WWF reserves of Morigerati, or the magnificent archaeological site of Paestum.
